Perhaps you’ve seen our recent Boss 302 sales, including two that set new price guide records, and figured that your opportunity to own a legit, restored Boss 302 were once again gone. Well what if I told you that this is a real 1969 Boss 302 dressed in the rarest color combination of them all, with a recent high-quality restoration, all for a bargain price? The Boss 302 was new in 1969, and as a result, they built only 1628 of them, making any Boss in any color a rare pony. But only 178 of those were dressed in Wimbledon White, and of those, only a handful received the gorgeous Dark Red Kiwi interior, so it’s rare, too. Still haven’t picked up the phone? The 1969 Mustang fastback is arguably the best-looking Mustang ever, and the Boss 302 treatment only exaggerates its aggressive lines. The bodywork is very nicely done, with great gaps throughout and no evidence that this car was ever rusty or damaged. The Wimbledon White finish has been duplicated in two-stage urethane for a brilliant shine, and correct Boss 302 graphics were applied along the flanks. It’s also refreshing to see that the restorer chose not to add a Shaker hood to this car, and instead retained its original specifications, which can only help values. With this amazing car, you’re treated to a freshly rebuilt and highly detailed 302 cubic inch V8 that snarls and barks like it should.
