General Leeツツ痴 First Cousins Make DVD

Riding on the muscle car coattails of the release of Warner Brother’s feature “The Dukes of Hazard”, Venice Beach based Veni Vici Productions announced the release of a 3 DVD set featuring “Muscle” Cars similar to the Dukes’ famous 1969 Dodge Charger named “General Lee”. Entitled “The Muscle Car DVD Trifecta”, the 2005 release features vignettes of “hot rod” cars from Ford, Chrysler, and Chevrolet built in the 60s and early 70s. The vignettes are set to music provided by popular rock bands, with optional, colorful commentary from the DVD makers.

Commentary for the DVDs is provided by Muscle Car expert Greg Holmes and comedian Drew North, who have been developing a website called for 5 years. reports daily traffic of up to 4000 unique visitors per day during peak “Car Show Season”. The sales of the calendar have never been charted. The site has often been queried as to why they do not feature beautiful women in the calendars with the cars, but the makers of the site insist that the product is “all about the cars, not about any frills.”

The most famous car featured in the DVDテづつ痴 is the 1967 Shelby GT which appeared in the film “Gone In 60 Seconds”. The car, known as “Eleanor”, was featured in the extended chase scenes in both the 1974 and the 2000 versions of the movie. It was driven by Nicolas Cage in the more recent version, and gained a semi-cult following. The interest in the car has been so extensive, that car manufacturer Shelby announced production of special edition models of the car. Shelbyテづつ痴 new テづつ摘leanorテづつ is a restored Mustang powered by a Shelby-tuned V8 making 325 hp, and comes with a slate of options including a nitrous oxide system, roll bar, 17-inch wheels, side exhaust and Baer brakes テづつ starting at $ 80,000. An all-out performance version is sold for $ 120,000.

Music on the disks is provided by bands: The Ape Hangers, Hainloose, Shovelhead, Rat Knuckles, The Constant, Josiah, DrewSta, The Beginning, Hypnos 69, and Detroit. Several of the bands are currently on tour and have agreed to appear in a “Muscle Car version of Lollapalooza” if the makers of the DVD provide the venue.
