Automotive Pastimes Adds Space, Services; Loveland Repair Shop Now Offers Detailing & Muscle Car Services

Loveland, CO (PRWEB) April 12, 2006

Automotive Pastimes, which has provided affordable, high-quality car repair services to area drivers for nearly 13 years, has expanded operations and added services at its 240 South Cleveland location. The garage now offers professional detailing, as well as a full-service muscle car shop. It will continue to offer reliable, high-quality auto repair for those with a “daily driver” that needs service.

The new detail bay will be managed by Ben Fair, who previously worked for another area detail shop. Automotive Pastimes now offers complete, professional detailing to wholesale and retail customers. Detail services can be performed on cars, boats, trucks, RVs, motorcycles and muscle cars.

The shop’s expansion also includes the addition of a full-service muscle car shop, where drivers of classic American muscle cars can bring their autos for service, including carburetor work and tune-ups, up to full engine re-build services.

Automotive Pastimes previously occupied the front of the building, and was able to expand due to the retirement of the radiator shop owner who did business from the rear of the building. A grand opening will be held later in the spring, and feature a display of muscle cars from several area enthusiasts. The shop will continue to be a stop for Friday Cruise Night drivers during the spring and summer.

Automotive Pastimes was founded and is run by Brad Andringa. Andringa is a lifelong car enthusiast with 18 years of experience in automotive repair. Automotive Pastimes provides repair services for all makes and models of cars, foreign and domestic.

Other services offered include engine diagnostics and repair, rebuild or replacement, electrical system repair, and drivetrain service, including clutch and transmission replacement, and oil changes.

Automotive Pastimes and Brad Andringa can be reached at (970) 690-5257. Automotive Pastimes, 240 South Cleveland, is in the bright blue building just across from the Thompson School District offices at the south end of the “mechanics’ row” that occupies the east side of the block.

Henry Ford jump-started the age of the automobile with the first assembly-line car in 1908: the Model T. For the next one hundred years, the automobile would evolve from chugging workhorse to tailfin-era showboat to sleek status symbol, stamped with a Mercedes Benz hood ornament. Once a novel invention of wonder, the car of the Postwar Era grew into a necessity of the modern age, a key to the freedom promised by the open road. So various were the choices of colors and features offered to America
